Everyone loves a makeover. Especially in Los Angeles.

MARCELL VON BERLIN’S U.S. flagship store on Melrose Avenue got its Hollywood-style makeover and re-opened its doors on February 4, 2020 to a space three-times larger, grander and sexier.  Taking over space adjacent to its original location that opened in 2018, the store expanded to almost 6,000 square feet.  The contradiction of concrete floors and rich velvet drapes now expand into a luxurious showroom, outdoor patio and couture salon.

The re-opening party’s fashionable crowd included Sofia Richie, Cody Simpson, DJ Zedd, and Teri Hatcher – the face of the Couture #5 Collection campaign. Ms. Hatcher walked the carpet to flashing paparazzi and stunned the fete’s attendees in a crimson MARCELL VON BERLIN couture jumpsuit accented with ostrich feather cuffs and Swarovski crystals.

Guests toasted to MARCELL VON BERLIN with glasses of Veuve Clicquot, cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres.  The 300 attendees rocked to the DJ beats of Ireland Baldwin and Patrick Mason from Berlin with a surprise performance by Tommy Genesis.

The glittering stars in the store were matched by sparking stars in the night’s sky.  The patio was further illuminated by a modern light sculpture “chandelier” made of 40 vertical lights. The installation changed jewel-toned colors and set a sultry mood against the music and vibe of the crowd. The glitz and glam ended late into the night with an impromptu dance circle led by Shaun Ross. Was für eine brillante nacht!
